Former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, along with K. Taraka Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, has approached the High Court seeking to quash the cases registered during the “Million March” held on March 10, 2011, as part of the Telangana statehood movement. During the hearing, their counsel argued that the complainants failed to identify the petitioners during the investigation and that there is no concrete evidence proving their presence at the protest site.
The prosecution, however, informed the court that investigations were carried out and charge sheets were filed against several accused in connection with the incident. It was also clarified that no charge sheets were filed against KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao. After hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court reserved its judgment, and the final verdict is awaited.
