Telangana Jagruti To Contest Municipal Elections

Telangana Jagruti has decided to enter the electoral fray in the upcoming local body elections in the state. The organisation will contest Municipal elections along with Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad polls using the ‘Lion’ symbol. For this purpose, Telangana Jagruti leadership has completed discussions with the All India Forward Block (AIFB) party and reached a consensus to contest elections under its symbol. Sources indicate that recent talks between AIFB and Telangana Jagruti have resulted in a mutual understanding to move forward together in these elections.

Meanwhile, Telangana Jagruti President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has accelerated the process of registering the organisation as a political party. However, party registration is expected to take another two to three months. In view of the impending local body elections in the state, the leadership has decided to contest the Municipal, Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections using the AIFB’s Lion symbol until the registration process is completed.
