Serious allegations of corruption have emerged in the recruitment process of the Singareni Collieries Company. Major concerns include the company's own officers being part of the sensitive examination paper-setting unit, and accusations that these papers are being leaked to candidates for lakhs of rupees. Despite previous scandals in clerical exams involving crores of rupees, the management has maintained silence on the current allegations.
Protesting this situation, job aspirants are demanding transparency. They insist on removing company officials from the paper-setting process and handing over the responsibility of conducting recruitment exams to national-level testing bodies or independent external agencies. They also demand a CBI or Vigilance inquiry into the past paper leaks. The aspirants warn of large-scale protests if the management does not act immediately to ensure a fair process.
