Shocking murder of a young woman in Delhi…case stuns all

A 22-year-old woman, daughter of a senior bureaucrat, was allegedly raped and murdered at her residence in South Delhi’s Kailash Hills on Wednesday morning. She was alone at home when the incident occurred, as her parents had gone to the gym. According to police, the victim was found in a pool of blood and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Investigations revealed that a 23 year old former domestic help, Rahul, was responsible for the crime. He had been dismissed from the household weeks earlier over alleged financial misconduct. Police said the accused was familiar with the family’s routine and used a spare key to enter the house. He allegedly attacked the woman, demanded access to valuables, assaulted her, and later strangled her before fleeing with cash and valuables.

CCTV footage helped trace the suspect, who was arrested within 12 hours from a hotel in Dwarka. Police teams tracked him across multiple locations before apprehending him. Officials also stated that the accused is linked to another sexual assault case in Rajasthan. Authorities have collected strong evidence and assured strict legal action, while the victim was remembered as a bright student preparing for civil services.
