Russia has launched one of its most intense aerial offensives on Ukraine, deploying nearly 1,000 drones within just 24 hours. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, over 550 locations across the country were targeted in broad daylight, marking the largest scale of such attacks since the war began. Ukrainian forces reportedly intercepted 541 drones, while several missile strikes also hit multiple regions, resulting in at least three fatalities and dozens of injuries.
Zelenskyy revealed that a tragic incident near a maternity hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk claimed the lives of a soldier and his daughter while they were on their way to visit a newborn family member. Hundreds of residential buildings and government offices have been damaged, with the full extent of destruction still being assessed. He stated that the escalation clearly indicates that Vladimir Putin has no intention of ending the war and urged the global community to impose stricter sanctions on Moscow.
