Rescue operations are ongoing in the Nampally fire incident as teams work to save those trapped inside the building. Thick smoke and intense heat have made the operation extremely challenging. Rescue teams are attempting to reach the cellar by digging openings and entering the affected areas.
Despite continuous efforts throughout the night, the whereabouts of five people remain unknown even after nearly 18 hours. Rescue personnel have entered the cellar and are carrying stretchers to evacuate victims. Authorities have kept ambulances on standby to provide immediate assistance.
Smoke is escaping through cracks in the cellar floors, raising concerns about the structural stability of the building. A team of JNTU engineering experts will soon inspect the site and submit a report to assess whether the building is safe for rescue operations.
