The weather department has issued a red alert for several districts in Telangana as the state is set to experience intense heatwaves, dry conditions and extreme temperatures. Between April 27 and 30, northern and central districts are likely to see temperatures reaching as high as 44-46°C. At the same time, southern and eastern parts of the state may receive scattered thunderstorms. Weather reports also suggest that Hyderabad could witness rainfall on April 28 and 29. Experts warn that the overall weather will remain highly unstable for the next ten days.
People may face a mix of extreme heat and sudden thunderstorms, making conditions uncomfortable and unpredictable. As May begins, temperatures are expected to rise again. From May 1 to 3, southern and eastern Telangana districts may experience strong heatwaves, with temperatures around 44-45°C. Dry weather will dominate most parts of the state during this period.
However, another shift in weather is expected between May 4 and 8, with chances of thunderstorms across many regions, including Hyderabad. Even though the intensity of heatwaves may reduce slightly, temperatures will still remain high between 41-43°C. Officials advise people to stay alert, take precautions during extreme heat and seek safe shelter during sudden rains and strong winds.
