V. C. Sajjanar has issued a strong warning against online betting scams operating under the guise of IPL predictions. Taking advantage of the Indian Premier League fever, several fraudulent advertisements are circulating on social media, misleading the public. Some influencers, driven by monetary gains, are promoting fake claims such as predicting match winners or toss results in advance, thereby luring innocent users into betting traps.
The Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police have taken strict action against such activities, blocking 494 paid advertisements and 129 social media profiles in the past month alone. Authorities have urged citizens not to trust such fake prediction channels and to safeguard their hard-earned money. If anyone comes across such fraudulent promotions or becomes a victim, they are advised to immediately report it by calling 1930 or through the official cybercrime portal. Strict legal action will be taken against those involved in such scams.
