Addressing the IndiGo operational crisis, Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu delivered a firm message in the Lok Sabha. He stated that IndiGo’s services are gradually stabilising and assured that all safety protocols remain intact. He attributed the disruptions to the airline’s planning failures and violation of regulatory norms, adding that show-cause notices have already been issued.
The minister made it unequivocally clear that the government will not tolerate any airline that causes inconvenience to passengers, and emphasized that there will be no compromise on safety under any circumstances. His strong remarks in Parliament reflect the Centre’s strict stance on accountability within the aviation sector.
He further noted that all other airlines across the country are operating smoothly and airport conditions remain normal. Refund processing, baggage handling, and related passenger-assistance activities are being expedited. The DGCA’s investigation into IndiGo is underway, and strict action will follow once the report is submitted.
