The shooting of the prestigious biopic “Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story”, based on former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, is progressing at a rapid pace in Kolkata. After completing the Mumbai schedule successfully, the team has now begun an intensive 15-day schedule in Kolkata, filming key locations connected to Ganguly’s life journey.
Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao is portraying the role of Sourav Ganguly, and his look from the Kolkata schedule, where he was seen in a red tracksuit, has already gone viral. The film will showcase iconic moments from Ganguly’s early struggles in Kolkata streets to his historic Lord’s jersey-flinging celebration. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and composed by Pritam, the film also features Tanya Maniktala as Dona Ganguly. Sourav Ganguly himself is reportedly monitoring the shoot at key locations like Eden Gardens and his residence.
