The Telangana government is focusing on new road infrastructure projects across the state. A new road is planned between Shamshabad and Shabad to improve connectivity, especially for the Shabad Industrial Corridor. This road will link Shamshabad Airport with the industrial zone and will also form part of the larger 81 km Radial Road-2 project starting from Budvel near the Outer Ring Road. The state has prepared this plan considering future transportation and industrial needs.
Radial Road-2 is proposed to extend from Budvel through Shabad, Pudur, and up to Kodangal, the constituency of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The project is expected to boost industrial growth in Shamshabad and Shabad regions, where industrial corridors are rapidly expanding. It will also improve cargo movement from the airport to nearby industries and enhance public transport connectivity with increased RTC bus services. Authorities have initiated land acquisition for around 300 acres in Shabad mandal, with compensation to be provided under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. The project is expected to transform the entire region’s infrastructure and connectivity.
