

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review with district officials, police, medical and health department, and food safety authorities over the incident of illness and deaths allegedly caused by adulterated milk in Rajamahendravaram. The Chief Minister sought detailed information regarding people falling ill in Chowdeswari Nagar and reviewed the medical assistance being provided to the victims. Officials informed him that milk vendors had supplied milk to 106 households in surrounding areas and samples were collected from 75 individuals who consumed the milk, while samples from others are also being gathered.
Food safety officials collected milk samples and sent them to laboratories for testing, while medical teams have set up field-level medical camps and rapid test facilities in the affected areas. The Chief Minister directed authorities to ensure better medical treatment for those undergoing treatment and instructed strict action against the vendors after test results are confirmed. He also ordered senior officials from the food safety and health departments to immediately visit Rajamahendravaram and closely monitor the situation.
