India has strongly condemned the airstrike carried out by Pakistan on a hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan, describing it as a cowardly and inhumane act. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that such an attack, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. It accused Pakistan of attempting to disguise a brutal massacre as a military operation, calling it a direct violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
The MEA further stated that Pakistan appears to be shifting blame for its internal failures through such cross-border violent actions. India urged the international community to hold those responsible accountable and called for an immediate halt to such deliberate attacks. Reaffirming its support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, India expressed solidarity with its people during this difficult time. According to Afghan authorities, over 400 people were killed in the strike on a hospital treating drug rehabilitation patients, with the building completely destroyed.
