

CV Anand, who assumed charge as the new Director General of Police, said the investigation into the sensational phone tapping case has reached its final stage. He stated that the Special Investigation Team is likely to file the second chargesheet soon after reviewing the current progress of the probe. His remarks have drawn significant attention across Telangana.
He also promised to make Telangana policing the best in the country by introducing advanced reforms and artificial intelligence in law enforcement. He said priority would be given to women’s safety, child and women trafficking prevention, anti-drug operations, cybercrime control, and strengthening anti-Naxal units like Greyhounds and SIB. On the microfinance case linked to allegations by singer Mangli, he said he would respond after a detailed review.
