Speaking from Jagtial, BRS Chief KCR leveled scathing criticism against the Congress government. While formally welcoming Jeevan Reddy into the party fold, he highlighted the various issues currently being faced by farmers and the poor across the state. He alleged that under Congress rule, welfare schemes are not being implemented effectively, causing significant distress to farmers. He further noted that—just as he had warned previously—schemes such as 'Rythu Bandhu' and 'Dalit Bandhu' have been undermined.
Making key remarks regarding the 'Hydra' system, KCR announced that the BRS would abolish it if the party returns to power. He criticized the government, alleging that this system is being utilized solely to demolish the homes of the poor. He questioned the propriety of demolishing houses under the pretext of developing the Musi River, arguing that such actions are unjustifiable. He categorically stated that his very first official act upon assuming office would be to sign the order abolishing the Hydra system.
Furthermore, KCR announced the appointment of Jeevan Reddy as the General Secretary of the BRS, assuring him that he would be entrusted with key responsibilities in the future. He issued a call to the public, urging them to ensure the BRS returns to power to foster the continued development of Telangana. Alleging that people from all sections of society are suffering under Congress rule, he expressed confidence that a BRS government would indeed be formed once again.
