Hijras Attack Family in Medchal for Refusing ₹1 Lakh During Housewarming

Tension prevailed in Balaji Enclave, Chiryala (Medchal district) after a group of hijras allegedly attacked a family during a housewarming ceremony. According to locals, Sadanandam, the house owner, was asked to pay ₹1 lakh by the hijras who came to bless the ceremony. When he refused, they left angrily but returned later with around 15 others, attacking Sadanandam and his family with sticks. Sadanandam sustained head injuries, and the attackers fled the spot soon after.
Residents have demanded strict police action to prevent such incidents in the future.
