The first phase of development works at the Sri Rama Temple in Bhadrachalam is set to commence today. Marking this occasion, the *Kalavahana* ceremony—a ritual involving the invocation of divine energies—will be performed, signaling the official start of the temple's renovation and restoration works. In light of these ongoing ceremonies, *Darshan* (sacred viewing) for devotees has been suspended until noon. Special *Abhishekams* (ritual baths) are being conducted for the various deities enshrined within the temple complex.
Chinna Jeeyar Swamy is attending this event; he has already arrived at the Rama Temple and is actively participating in the proceedings. These festivities, which began this morning with the *Kalavahana* ceremony, are regarded as a pivotal milestone in the overall development of the temple.
The Government of Telangana has sanctioned a total of ₹351 crores for the development of the Bhadrachalam temple. As part of this initiative, development works are being undertaken in the first phase with an allocation of ₹180 crores. Officials have stated that these works will significantly enhance and improve the temple's surroundings.
