A reported family dispute over ownership rights and succession planning has emerged within the family of Venu Srinivasan, honorary chairman of TVS Motor Company and TVS Holdings Limited. The development comes amid wider leadership tensions involving Tata Trusts and the Tata Sons board, where Srinivasan has reportedly differed with Noel Tata. The reported family differences have brought attention to succession arrangements within one of India's prominent business groups.
Sudarshan Venu, the son of Venu Srinivasan and Mallika Srinivasan, serves as chairman and managing director of TVS Motor Company and managing director of TVS Holdings Limited. Their daughter, Lakshmi Venu, holds leadership positions as managing director of TVS Holdings Limited and Sundaram-Clayton, and vice-chairperson of TAFE. Mallika Srinivasan, who chairs Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), has reportedly urged her children to address their differences through an amicable and impartial resolution. The details of the reported dispute and any formal settlement have not been independently confirmed.
