Anvay Dravid, the younger son of former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid, is attracting attention with his impressive performances in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under-19 tournament. Leading Karnataka’s Under-19 team against Delhi in Visakhapatnam, Anvay smashed 85 runs off just 41 balls, including five sixes and seven fours, at a strike rate of 207.32. His aggressive batting played a key role in helping Karnataka post a formidable total. Anvay, who also serves as a wicketkeeper, demonstrated his ability to accelerate the scoring when the team needed it most.
Anvay has continued his strong form after scoring a century against Chandigarh last week, making 104 runs off 62 balls. In the match against Delhi, Dhruv Krishna also delivered a remarkable performance, scoring 103 off just 51 balls. Karnataka finished with 418 runs for four wickets in 49 overs. Chasing a target of 419, Delhi were bowled out for 220, handing Karnataka a convincing 198-run victory. Anvay’s recent performances have strengthened his growing reputation in domestic age-group cricket, with his batting, wicketkeeping and leadership drawing attention.
