Danger Bells Over Diarrhea in AP Srikakulam

Diarrhea cases have raised concern in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. District Collector Swapnil Dinakar stated that 64 people have been hospitalized with symptoms of diarrhea, and the condition of two patients is reported to be critical. Officials also identified leakages in water and drainage pipelines in the affected areas.

Another 39 people with mild symptoms are currently under home care and are being provided medical assistance. Authorities said the exact cause of water contamination is yet to be confirmed, and water samples have been sent for laboratory testing. The reports are awaited.
