In Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, security forces conducted a combing operation in the forested area along the Indravati River under the jurisdiction of the Jungle Police Station. During the operation, clashes and gunfights occurred between Maoist insurgents and the security personnel.
Two Maoist militants were killed in the encounter, and authorities recovered rifles, weapons and explosive materials from the site. Officials stated that the operation was carried out to curb Maoist activities and ensure the safety and security of the local population.
