Bird Flu Scare in AP’s Annamayya District

Bird flu has created concern in Annamayya district after cases were confirmed in Sadum mandal. Officials have identified the infection and started culling and burying chickens in affected poultry farms to control the spread of the disease.

Authorities visited areas such as Sadum, Ammagaripalli, Kambamvaripalli and Puttavandlapalli and carried out sanitation work. In another incident, bird flu was reported at a poultry farm in Karvetinagaram of Chittoor district, where chickens worth around Rs. 17 lakh died.

Following these developments, the Chittoor District Collector has alerted all departments to stay vigilant. Officials have urged people not to panic and to follow safety guidelines.
