A severe sandstorm has disrupted normal life in Rajasthan, affecting districts such as Churu, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, and Sikar. On Saturday afternoon, strong winds accompanied by dense dust clouds turned the sky dark, followed by heavy rainfall in several areas. The sudden weather shift caused major inconvenience to commuters and residents.
Earlier, similar weather conditions were also witnessed in Jaipur. Dholpur district recorded the highest rainfall of 5.8 cm. The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds of 60–70 kmph and thunderstorms may continue across several divisions for the next four to five days.
