

‘Bhavarasa Natyotsavam – Season 1’, organised under the banner of Madalasa - Space for Divine Art, was held in a magnificent manner on January 4 at Phoenix Arena. The evening turned into a visual treat as renowned artistes presented classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam, captivating the audience with their grace and depth of expression. The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Phoenix Group Emeritus Chairman Sri Suresh Chukkapalli, marking a dignified beginning to the cultural celebration.
Eminent dancers Manju V. Nair from Kerala, Swapna Rajendrakumar from Bengaluru, and Hyderabad’s Sowjanya Srinivas enthralled the audience with their exceptional performances. From the Ganesh kriti Sri Vighnarajam Bhaje to compositions by Adi Shankaracharya and Tyagaraja, each recital reflected artistic excellence and spiritual richness. The two-hour programme stood as a glowing tribute to India’s classical dance heritage, leaving the connoisseurs spellbound.
