BC associations have expressed strong anger against the Chandrababu Naidu government. The indefinite hunger strike undertaken by Bharat Chaitanya Yuvajana Party president Bode Ramachandra Yadav, demanding the fulfillment of BC rights, has entered its fourth day. The protest began on April 11 at the party’s headquarters in Mangalagiri and has received support from several BC organizations. On the first day, descendants of Jyotirao Phule and B. P. Mandal extended their support, while on the second day, more BC groups and political leaders joined in solidarity. Former MP V. Vijayasai Reddy has also supported the protest and Vangaveeti Ranga’s daughter Asha Kiran backed the strike while questioning the government’s stance.
However, as the hunger strike entered its fourth day without any response from the state government, statewide protests have begun. Road blockades and demonstrations have been organized at several places. Concerns are growing among BC associations as Bode Ramachandra Yadav’s health is reportedly deteriorating. Leaders have emphasized that the protest is not personal but aimed at the welfare of BC communities. Despite this, they are strongly criticizing the government’s silence. Leaders from various political parties have visited the protest site and expressed solidarity, stating that the demands are reasonable and not difficult to implement, yet the government is neglecting them. Bode Ramachandra Yadav has made it clear that he will not withdraw his hunger strike until the government accepts his five key demands.

As part of the hunger strike for BC rights, Bode Ramachandra Yadav has put forward several major demands. He is primarily demanding the immediate implementation of the BC Protection Act. He has also demanded the allocation of 1,000 acres of land for BCs in the Amaravati capital region. He further called for a comprehensive caste census in the state, along with 44% reservations for BCs in education, employment, and local body elections. Additionally, he demanded the immediate release of funds for BC corporations. Speaking to the media, Bode Ramachandra Yadav stated that he would not withdraw his indefinite hunger strike until the government agrees to implement all five demands aimed at ensuring justice for BC communities.
