Indian boxers delivered a strong performance at the Asian Boxing Championship, with two women boxers Meenakshi Hooda and Jaismine Lamboria advancing to the semifinals and securing medals for the country. Meenakshi defeated Japan’s Sadamatsu 5-0 in the 48 kg quarterfinal, while Jaismine registered a dominant 5-0 win over China’s Jiyi Chen in the 57 kg category.
In the men’s category, Lokesh (85 kg), Akash (75 kg), and Harsh Chaudhary (90 kg) also stormed into the semifinals, ensuring India more medal confirmations in the prestigious continental tournament. The Indian contingent continues to showcase excellent form and dominance across weight categories.
