Upendra said that he was extremely happy to be part of the film “Andhra King Thaluka.” He mentioned that the moment he heard the story, he immediately connected to the fans' emotions. He added that fans' love has no logic, and this film beautifully portrays that feeling. Since his fans celebrate his birthday as Fans Day, he feels the depth of their love every single year. He shared that the character Surya, which he plays in the movie, is very close to the real lives of stars — showcasing fans' craze, ups and downs, and human emotions with a touch of reality. He thanked director Mahesh Babu P, saying every dialogue and every scene he narrated was heart-touching. He also extended special thanks to Mythri Movie Makers for bringing such a meaningful story.
Remembering his First Day First Show memories, Upendra said that on the release day of his film “A”, he skipped going to the theatre because he feared fans might miss the movie because of the chaos. He recalled how, in childhood, watching the first-day-first-show of Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and Nagarjuna films used to bring immense joy. Speaking about working with Ram Pothineni, Upendra praised his incredible energy. He said the interval scene gave him goosebumps the moment he saw it. He appreciated how Ram, despite being a star, portrayed the innocence of a fan so convincingly. He also mentioned that Bhagyashree and Ram’s chemistry worked wonderfully, giving their love story a retro feel.
Talking about the music, Upendra said all the songs have already become very popular, with four of them turning into chartbusters. He added that the background score is excellent as well. Upendra shared that his dream is still to direct a film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, and he would definitely make it happen when the opportunity comes. Starring with Rajinikanth in the movie “Coolie” is one of the biggest milestones of his life, and he admires Rajinikanth like a true devotee. He concluded by saying that his passion for telling new stories and portraying new characters will never fade.
