Shivraj Kumar, the son of the legendary Kannada actor Rajkumar, who rose to become one of the top stars in Kannada cinema, is now making waves among Telugu audiences. He previously worked with Ram Gopal Varma in Killing Veerappan and made a cameo in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni. Currently, he is playing a pivotal role in a Megastar Ram Charan film.
Now, Shivraj Kumar will play the lead role in a Telugu film, much to everyone’s surprise. The movie is a biopic on Gummadi Narsayya, a prominent Telangana politician and former CPI MLA. Shivraj Kumar will portray Gummadi Narsayya, with Parameshwar Hivrale directing and N. Suresh Reddy producing under the Pravallika Arts Creations banner.
The first-look motion poster was released on Wednesday, showcasing Shivraj Kumar in the role of Gummadi Narsayya. The motion poster concept highlights Narsayya’s simple yet remarkable life, reflecting his dedication to the people.
Known for his concern for the poor, Gummadi Narsayya earned respect across Telugu states. He made headlines for cycling to the assembly during his tenure as MLA, serving five terms without succumbing to luxury. Even today, he travels in RTC buses, moving among the people without fanfare. He has fought tirelessly for the rights of the poor and tribal communities. Bringing such a leader’s story to the screen with a top Kannada star like Shivraj Kumar is truly exciting.
