Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who has been choosing diverse roles across Telugu and Bollywood films, has opened up about her future career aspirations. She said she has not yet done a full-fledged, emotionally intense love story and would love to be part of such a romantic drama. Rakul also expressed interest in exploring period dramas and horror films, genres she has not ventured into so far. She said she wants to choose scripts that challenge her abilities as an actor and offer something different from her previous work.
Rakul added that going forward, the importance of her character will matter more to her than the scale of the production house or the genre of a film. She wants to take up roles that are not merely about screen presence but also stimulate her emotionally and creatively. Meanwhile, she is set to play Surpanakha in filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated mythological film Ramayana. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari. The first part is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 6.
