iBomma Ravi's arrest Over the past few days, has dominated conversations in the Telugu entertainment sector. His father Apparao claimed shortly after the arrest that he was unaware of his son's illicit activities and expressed surprise at the information. He even acknowledged that Ravi erred in publicly opposing the police and the film industry.
However, Apparao drastically altered his position a few days after making those remarks. He started defending his son, criticizing the growing cost of tickets and asserting that this is one of the reasons people stay away from theaters. Additionally, he attacked producer C. Kalyan, who had called for the police to act strictly and even suggested that people like Ravi have encounters.
Apparao went on to say that regardless of piracy, moviegoers will inevitably go to theaters if the content is compelling enough. He questioned why producers invest crores and then expect high prices, pointing out that ticket prices are no longer affordable. He went so far as to say that he is prepared to provide financial assistance to the attorneys defending his son. This abrupt change in Apparao's remarks has now gained popularity on social media.
