After delivering blockbuster films like Little Hearts, Raju Weds Rambai and Eesha, the successful duo Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati are now set to entertain audiences with a full-length out-and-out entertainer titled Hey Bhagavan. Produced under the banners of Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vaas Works, the film features Suhas, Shivani Nagaram, senior actor Naresh and anchor Sravanti in prominent roles. Directed by Gopi Achara and produced by B. Narendra Reddy under Trishul Visionary Studios, the movie is scheduled for release on February 20. Speaking to the media, director Gopi Achara shared several insights about the film and his journey.
Gopi Achara began his career working under Kannada director S. Narayan and has known Suhas since their school days. Their association has continued from Color Photo and he also worked on Writer Padmabhushan. He revealed that Hey Bhagavan was written keeping Suhas in mind, though Suhas was not involved in the scripting process and only shared his inputs on set. Since Suhas and Shivani became a hit pair with Ambajipeta, he chose to cast them again. Highlighting that comedy is Suhas’ strength, the film has been crafted as a complete comedy entertainer with a fresh take on father-son emotions. The title Hey Bhagavan perfectly reflects the unexpected situations faced by the characters and the film promises laughter from start to pre-climax, concluding with an emotional touch.
The director also stated that the producers fully supported the project without any compromises, marking their first Telugu venture after producing a Kannada film. Vamsi Nandipati was involved from the scripting stage and played a key role in completing the film in just 36 days. Suhas’ character in this film is said to be different from his previous roles and will surpass audience expectations. Performances by Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Harsha Vardhan and Ajay Ghosh add to the film’s entertainment value, with working alongside Naresh being a memorable experience. The songs have already been trending on YouTube and early viewers have praised the film as a laugh-out-loud family entertainer.
