Dhanush-Rajkumar Periasamy’s ‘OM: Chapter 1’ Set for Release

National Award-winning actor Dhanush is teaming up with ‘Amaran’ director Rajkumar Periasamy for the ambitious action entertainer ‘OM: Chapter 1’, previously referred to as #D55. Jointly produced by R Take Studios and Wunderbar Films, the project is being mounted on a grand scale and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16. The makers said the first shooting schedule has been successfully completed and that the title announcement video was designed not merely as a reveal, but as the first introduction to Dhanush’s character. Director Rajkumar Periasamy said the title ‘OM’ carries multiple meanings beyond its spiritual association, adding that its various layers will become clearer as more promotional material is unveiled.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble, with Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela playing the female leads and Malayalam superstar Mammootty appearing in a prominent role. The makers described the project as one of their biggest productions and expressed confidence that it would appeal to audiences on a wide scale. Music sensation Sai Abhyankkar is composing the soundtrack, while Ezhilarasu is handling cinematography and Kalaivanan is overseeing the editing. Character teasers, a main teaser and the theatrical trailer are expected to be rolled out as the promotional campaign gathers momentum ahead of the October 16 release.
