

Internal inflammation in the human body is a major contributor to several chronic diseases. Surprisingly, even foods considered healthy—like wheat—can aggravate this condition in some individuals. Processed sugars found in sweets, soft drinks, and packaged fruit juices rapidly increase inflammatory markers called cytokines. Similarly, saturated fats in foods like pizza and cheese, along with harmful trans fats present in fried snacks and packaged foods, significantly worsen inflammation and increase the risk of heart disease and joint problems.
Excess intake of omega-6 fatty acids from oils such as soybean, corn, and sunflower oil can also elevate inflammation levels. Refined carbohydrates like maida, white rice, and instant potatoes spike blood sugar, triggering inflammatory responses. Additives like MSG, commonly used in soups and fast foods, negatively affect liver health. Gluten and casein sensitivities may lead to digestive and joint issues in some people. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame and excessive alcohol consumption further strain the body and promote inflammation. To combat this, it is essential to limit these foods and include fruits, leafy vegetables, and omega-3-rich fish in your diet for better health.
