Malayalam actor Basil Joseph, who impressed Telugu audiences with films like Minnal Murali and Ponman, is reportedly set to play a key role in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film tentatively titled Thalaiva 173. The speculation gained momentum after Basil hinted at being part of a major Tamil project during a recent public event, stating that an official announcement would be made soon. Fans believe he was referring to this high-profile venture.

According to industry buzz, Basil Joseph may portray Rajinikanth’s son in the film. The project is being produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by Sibi Chakravarthy of Don fame.
