A dramatic incident in Bamunigaon, Assam’s Kamrup district, has drawn attention after a woman allegedly climbed onto a car and smashed its windows following an altercation with the occupants. According to the police account, a Hyundai car bearing registration number AS 01 DX 5856, travelling towards Goalpara, reportedly lost control and hit a roadside divider. A heated argument then broke out between the woman and those inside the vehicle. Suspecting that the woman was being taken away against her will, local residents stopped the car and alerted the police.
Boko police reached the scene and took three men identified as Faridul Islam, Amidul and Abbas Ali into custody for questioning. Police also registered a case involving the woman and two other individuals, identified as Tangkha Hაო and Chatmin Khang. Investigators suspect that the confrontation may be linked to a dispute over money connected with an alleged interstate drug network. Police said some of those involved had reportedly been arrested earlier in a major drug case and were later released on bail. The investigation is continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine whether a wider network was involved.
