Discussions are reportedly growing within political and administrative circles over the influence of an alleged “shadow minister” in the Minority Department. Reports suggest that the leader holds significant control over key administrative decisions, transfers, and departmental matters, often overshadowing the official minister. There are also allegations that officials are being warned if they take decisions without prior approval from the influential leader.
The leader, who is said to hold a nominated position under the department, is reportedly exercising influence from the district level to the Secretariat. Recent discussions intensified after Minority Minister Azharuddin was absent from an important review meeting attended by the so-called shadow minister and senior officials. Political circles are also speculating that the leader has influence in other important departments, including municipal administration and home affairs.
