Talks between the United States and Iran aimed at achieving a lasting peace have been delayed at the initial stage. The scheduled meeting in Geneva was postponed following renewed clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, which disrupted the ceasefire framework and created uncertainty over the implementation of the MoU.
The violence in Lebanon reportedly resulted in casualties on both sides. Meanwhile, Iran has introduced new regulations requiring vessels passing through the Hormuz Strait to register with authorities, despite keeping the route open. Iran stated that further negotiations with US representatives are being planned in the coming days through intermediaries.
