Unique Handloom Gift Offered to Vijayawada Durga Temple

A unique and extraordinary offering was presented to Goddess Kanaka Durga at the famous Vijayawada temple by renowned handloom artisan and Kala Ratna award recipient Vijay Kumar from Sircilla. The skilled weaver gifted a specially crafted silk saree so compact that it can fit inside a matchbox, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to the handloom tradition.

Vijay Kumar spent an entire week designing the miniature silk saree, which weighs just 200 grams. Temple Executive Officer Srinivasa Nayak appreciated the artisan’s remarkable talent and dedication. After offering the saree to the goddess, Vijay Kumar had darshan of the deity and received blessings from Vedic scholars at the temple. The unique gift has drawn admiration from devotees and handloom enthusiasts alike.
