Just weeks after competing on the Miss Universe India stage, engineer Umanga Kumawat has returned to her corporate routine at Google. Representing Madhya Pradesh at the Miss Universe India 2026 national finale in Jaipur, she made it to the Top 20 among 52 finalists. The finale was held on August 23, with Kerala’s Kajia Liz Mejia winning the title. On September 14, Umanga shared a video from Google’s Bengaluru campus, giving viewers a glimpse of her regular workday.
Titled “A Day in My Life,” the video shows Umanga’s routine from morning to evening. Her day begins at around 9:30 a.m., starting with the usual decision of what to wear before heading to the office. At around 10:30 a.m., she visits the company’s wellness centre, where she starts with a treadmill session followed by stretching and leg exercises. After getting ready, she returns to work at around 12:30 p.m., with her laptop, notebook and documents spread across her desk.
At around 2:10 p.m., Umanga has a simple lunch of noodle soup and leafy greens at the Google cafeteria, despite other food options such as biryani, fruits and desserts. She returns to her desk by around 3 p.m., spends some time in a quiet lounge at about 4:30 p.m. and takes a coffee break at 5:30 p.m. After completing her workday, she heads towards the elevator. While many beauty-pageant contestants explore modelling, films or other public-facing careers, Umanga continues to balance her corporate career with her personal interests.
