Trump Pauses Planned Military Strikes on Iran

US President Donald Trump has taken a key decision regarding possible military action against Iran. He announced that the planned strikes on Iran would be paused temporarily, stating that Iran and other West Asian countries requested more time to finalize a proposed agreement involving the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and addressing Iran’s nuclear threat. Trump said the pause would continue only if the deal moves forward quickly.

Trump stated that although the US was prepared for a major military operation against Tehran, the strikes were being halted considering global interests and Iran’s future. He also claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to end the conflict and move towards an agreement. Meanwhile, Iran warned of severe retaliation if attacked, while countries including Qatar and Pakistan were reportedly involved in diplomatic discussions between Washington and Tehran.
