

US President Donald Trump has given high-value gifts to some of his close White House aides, according to expenditure records released by the administration. The records show that Trump gifted a total of $155,000 to four staff members who work closely with him at the White House. Executive Assistant Natalie Harp, Communications Adviser Margo Martin and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations Chamberlain Harris reportedly received gifts worth $45,000 each.
Oval Office Operations Director Walt Nauta received a gift valued at $20,000, according to the records. White House officials said the gifts were not related to the recipients’ government duties and were permissible under applicable ethics rules. Officials also said Trump has a practice of giving Christmas gifts to people in his close circle and employees, both during his time in the private sector and as head of the government.
