Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra announced that a lucky dip system will soon be implemented to curb irregularities in the online booking of Srivani tickets. The TTD plans to limit the issuance of these tickets to a maximum of 1,500 per day while also examining the possibility of issuing Srivani quota tickets through airports in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and other cities. Ravichandra stated that nearly 41,000 devotees who had donated earlier but were unable to avail darshan would be accommodated from June onward by allotting 300 tickets daily, aiming to clear the backlog within the next five to ten months. He emphasized that the primary objective of the administration is to improve facilities for common devotees through major reforms in the TTD system.
The TTD is also focusing on infrastructure modernization and environmental protection in Tirumala. To reduce pollution and vehicle congestion on the hill, authorities are planning a mega parking, accommodation, and scanning hub near the zoo park area at the foothills. Devotees may soon park their vehicles there and travel to Tirumala using electric buses. Ravichandra revealed that VIP break darshans have been reduced to decrease waiting times for ordinary pilgrims. The TTD is also strengthening its IT department, reconstructing its educational institutions with an investment of ₹160 crore, and expanding medical services in TTD hospitals by involving specialist doctors in voluntary service programs. Plans are also underway to include NSS and NCC students in Srivari Seva activities.
