Days after his victory in the Bankipur bypoll, Jan Suraaj Party leader Prashant Kishor has announced an initiative aimed at helping at least 10,000 educated unemployed youths from the constituency find private-sector employment over the next one to two years. Kishor has appealed to families to submit the CVs and biodata of eligible youths to his office so that they can be connected with companies through his professional network.
Kishor has made it clear that the initiative is focused specifically on private-sector employment and that he cannot promise government jobs. The announcement has placed employment and opportunities for educated youth at the centre of his early priorities as Bankipur MLA. The initiative is being viewed as an effort to leverage his professional contacts to create employment opportunities for young people in the constituency.
