President Donald Trump has revealed that he secretly travelled to the United States on another aircraft after receiving warnings of a potential threat following his visit to Turkiye. He said he was moved through an airport catering vehicle to a different aircraft, while Air Force One was used as a decoy. Trump played down the threat, saying he faces numerous dangers and did not investigate the details. Reports said the elaborate security operation was designed to conceal his actual movements.

Meanwhile, Trump issued another warning to Iran, claiming that the United States has total control over the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that Tehran could face a tough response if it withdrew from talks or took provocative action. Separately, U.S. forces fired two Hellfire missiles from a Navy helicopter at the Panama-flagged cargo vessel Vela Nova after accusing it of violating the blockade on Iranian ports. Rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have also increased congestion around the Panama Canal, with some large commercial vessels reportedly facing waiting periods of around 10 days.
