BJP Legislature Party leader Aletti Maheshwar Reddy has demanded that the Telangana government disclose the action taken over alleged irregularities in the Dharani land records portal. He questioned why the government has not revealed the names of BRS leaders allegedly involved in taking over lands belonging to poor people through the portal. Reddy also sought details of the findings of the forensic audit that the government had earlier announced. He accused the Congress government of failing to protect farmers’ land despite promising justice to those who lost property under the previous system.
Reddy alleged that the prohibited land list has expanded instead of shrinking and that even undisputed private properties were added to the 22A list. He demanded that the government issue a white paper and asked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to respond to the allegations. He also alleged irregularities in land transactions in the Future City area and questioned why no action had been taken against those who allegedly obtained fake NOCs during the previous government. Reddy further demanded to know why the Congress government was reluctant to hand over the alleged Dharani scam to the CBI.
