IndiGo has announced the temporary suspension of its flight operations between India and Manchester, citing ongoing international airspace restrictions, significantly increased flight durations, and a challenging cost environment. The airline stated that these factors have made the route commercially unsustainable for now.
As part of this decision, IndiGo will return one of its six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. The airline highlighted rising ATF prices, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and foreign exchange volatility as key reasons for increased operational costs. However, IndiGo confirmed that all other long-haul services will continue as planned.
