

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated the TG-20 Cricket League mega tournament at Uppal Stadium and reiterated the state government's commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and nurturing young talent. He said the tournament would serve as a strong platform for aspiring athletes and contribute significantly to the growth of sports across Telangana.
Addressing the gathering, Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the government's vision is to identify hidden talent in rural areas and provide athletes with world-class training opportunities. He noted that cricket was once considered a sport confined to urban centres, but the government is now creating opportunities for talented players from every district through structured team formations and competitive platforms such as the TG-20 League.
The Deputy Chief Minister also announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Sports University in Hyderabad with international standards and advanced facilities. The initiative aims to prepare Telangana athletes to compete for Olympic medals in the future. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the government is committed to supporting athletes from all backgrounds. He added that the 21-day TG-20 Cricket League would create a festive atmosphere for sports enthusiasts and inspire the next generation of champions.
