Telangana's Industrial Policies to Compete Globally, Says Ponguleti

Telangana is shaping its industrial policies to compete with leading countries across the world, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said. He expressed confidence that investors from across the globe would show interest in investing in the state. The government is committed to taking the Rising Telangana vision forward, he added. Briefing the media on the decisions taken during the Cabinet meeting, the minister said an extensive discussion was held on the preparations for the second Global Summit. Senior ministers have been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure the successful organisation of the event.

Ponguleti expressed confidence that the Global Summit would attract significant investments to Telangana. He also spoke about the government's actions concerning the Kaleshwaram project. The minister said the government had implemented the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) directives against storing water in the project. All the tests recommended by the authority had been completed, and the findings were submitted in a report. He added that the Cabinet had decided to undertake repairs to the project transparently and restore it to operational use.
