Telangana Police Launch Hunt for Nepali Accused

Police have identified nearly 200 accused persons from Nepal who are allegedly absconding in connection with various criminal cases registered across Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Cyberabad, and other parts of Telangana. According to investigators, more than 160 of them were arrested earlier and later released on bail, but subsequently disappeared without a trace.

The recent focus on these accused persons intensified following high profile criminal cases, including the murder of a retired DGP’s wife and a robbery targeting a professor couple. Special investigation teams and crime units have been deployed to trace the suspects. Police believe some of the accused are using alternative digital communication platforms to evade detection and avoid surveillance.
