The Andhra Pradesh government is set to release financial assistance under the 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme to support the education of children from economically weaker families. As promised during the elections, every eligible student studying from Class 1 to Intermediate in a family will receive assistance. Of the ₹15,000 sanctioned per student, ₹2,000 will be allocated to the school development fund, while ₹13,000 will be directly credited to the mother's bank account. The scheme covers eligible students in both government and private schools.
The Education Department has already sent beneficiary lists to Swarna Gram and Swarna Ward Secretariats, while eligible students whose names are missing will receive the benefit by the end of August. In Bapatla district, ₹187.55 crore will be credited for 1,44,271 students, while in Palnadu district, ₹368 crore will be transferred for 2,83,084 students. The fund transfer process will begin on Wednesday.
